Chhote Sahibzaade refers to the two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. Their names were Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. Despite their tender age, they displayed immense courage and unwavering faith in the face of adversity.

In the year 1704, during the tumultuous times of the Mughal Empire, Guru Gobind Singh and his followers were surrounded by a large Mughal army in the fortress of Chamkaur Sahib. The Guru’s elder sons had already attained martyrdom, and now it was the turn of the younger ones to face the ultimate test.

Chhote Sahibzaade’s Sacrifice:

Despite being only 9 and 7 years old respectively, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh refused to renounce their faith and embrace Islam, as demanded by the Mughal forces. They stood firm in their beliefs, even in the face of torture and intimidation.

The young Sahibzaade were eventually sentenced to death. They were bricked alive in a wall, a cruel punishment that was meant to break their spirits. However, their sacrifice only served to inspire generations of Sikhs to come.

Their unwavering faith and courage in the face of such adversity is a testament to the Sikh principles of justice, equality, and freedom.
